POURING FRUSTRATIONS ON INNOCENT KENYANS BY POLICE SHOWS A FRUSTRATED GROUP OF COWARDS.

Police beat Opposition protesters at University way Nairobi |
It goes without doubt that the witnessed incidents
during the Coalition for reforms and democracy (CORD) Anti –IEBC protests can
only prove one thing that the Kenya Police is a frustrated group of cowards.
When a police officer who has sworn to protect the Kenyan
citizen turns to be an animal and senselessly beat up the same citizen to a
point of death, then you remain wondering why they need to exist in any case. A
normal human being would not even think of it.
Incidents witnessed in the CORD anti-IEBC protests, protests
that are otherwise enshrined in the constitution have left myself and indeed
many people wondering why the police have to be this brutal while handling
peacefully protesting Kenyans.
But something comes to mind, that these are the same police officers
who are lowly paid in this country. Their salaries are never reviewed upwards,
something comes to mind; that these are the same police officers that live in deplorable
conditions, their housing is much wanting. Something comes to mind; that these
are the same police officers who are not held in high esteem. Something comes
to mind; that the police officers don’t get good treatment when it comes to
promotions.
These are the frustrations that are now poured down on the
common mwananchi. This can explain why a police officer would come running just
to flog a protester who has already been corned by another officer then runs back
to get another “prey” to ‘prey’ on.
We cannot allow our country to be militarized and be made a
police nation with police terrorizing Kenyans like witnessed in Uganda. In my earlier
articles, I have made it clear that we as Kenyans will never allow the
democracy and peace that we enjoy in this country become like that which we
experience in our neighboring Uganda.
Democracy is achieved through a lot of fights and struggle
and if that is what it will take Kenyans to have it then we are up to the task.
We will not allow our country be governed by a few individuals who think they
can hold her at ransom at all time.
It should be clear and very clear to president Uhuru and
people like Nkaissery that they cannot run this country the way they run their
homestead. That they can one day wake up and pass laws and expect Kenyans to
run by.
Nkaissery forgets fast that he was in Opposition and once
held the same position with the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. He can’t forget that
fast. We cannot be bought to sing the tune of Jubilee at all times. We will
stand with our rights to the very end.
It has now become evident that the government has armed
itself to terrorize its own citizens. Now we expect them to just that.
