“JUST ANOTHER PROBLEM” (JAP) IN TROUBLE

The "Vigogo" of JAP

With the current situation brewing in Rift valley, our eyes are all set there to see how the drama unfolds.

He has maintained that all is well and that the JAP, OR JP or JUST ANOTHER PROBLEM as its critics are calling it has gained momentum and cannot be stopped, I am referring to Deputy President William Ruto whose backyard is politically charged as several allies have come out to criticize the dissolution of URP in Favor of JAP.

Ruto’s woes escalated when his allies now turned critic, Bomet Governor Issac Ruto’s new party PPPK, Beat JAP in a Ward by- Election in the region.

The battle is even sweeter as several leaders have vehemently disowned JAP’s candidate for Kericho Senatorial By-Election in favor of the KANU candidate.

Led by Gedion Moi and Bomet Governor Issac Ruto, the leaders have said they will not join JAP, with Nandi MP Alfred Keter calling the party “JUST ANOTHER PROBLEM”.

There are strong indications that the Kericho by-election will not be a walk in the park for Mr Ruto who is seeking to stamp his authority on the Kalenjin Rift valley amid opposition from some politicians.

Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) suffered a blow on Wednesday after a section of its supporters in Kipkelion West Constituency also declared support for Kanu’s candidate Mr Paul Sang following claims that JAP primaries were skewed in favour of one candidate.

Things are even more interesting with CORD Coalition and also Former Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi’s party, the Amani National Congress, having also thrown their weight behind the Kanu candidate, a former Cabinet minister.

Now the failing JAP that has been ailing since its idea was started is in a cat and mouse situation with other stake holders like the Meru governor Peter Munya also denouncing it and even threatening to form a party he will run with on the gubernatorial seat.

We are yet to see the developments and the rebirth of KANU (chama cha mama na baba) in the RIFT.
